Honda Prelude Carbon Coated Syncros

Honda Prelude Carbon Coated Syncros

In every transmission there are syncros.  Having them carbon coated will be good.  The Honda Prelude transmission has a few foul points in it.  These are points that using carbon coated syncros will help.

  • Syncros are what holds the gears in Place
  • Carbon Coating them will allow more abuse

By carbon coating your syncros you will have a stronger and more durable transmission.  The syncros are what holds the gears in place when you shift gears.  These syncros tend to get knicked and chipped over time, and start to fail.  By having them carbon coated, you will strengthened them, and allow them to take a higher amount of abuse and last longer.

Carbon coating is reinforcing what is already there.  Carbon is coated around the syncros and installed into the transmission.  This allows for a much better shift, and more room for error.  Carbon coating is defiantly the way to go with rebuilt transmissions.

When you are rebuilding your transmission is because it failed.  By carbon coating the syncros, you can insure that your transmission will be stronger and much less prone to failure.  This is a big issue if you are racing.  Any sort of racing that puts a strain on the transmission needs a stronger transmission.  This is something that you should look into.

Professional racers use beefed up transmissions.  All the horse power in the world will not mean a thing if you dont have the capabilities to put the power to the ground.  That is why a transmission is key when going for high horse power modifications.

Carbon coating the syncros is something everyone should have.  In fact the Honda factory should have the transmissions built stronger from the factory.  Beefing up the transmission is something you should do if you haven't already done it so far.
