Different ways to port your wet nitrous kit

There are a few ways to get creative with your wet nitrous kit.  Most kits generally come with one nozzle to spray.  The directions on this package usually include a diagram that says that you should port out your intake pipe.  That is fine to do, but there are other ways to do this as well. 

The more creative you become with nitrous the better the results can be.  Lets start with something simple, like porting the intake pipe.  This is the most common used method for using wet nitrous kit.  You port out a hole on the intake pipe and attach your equipment to spray.  Simple to do.  There are even other alternative methods to porting the pipe.  The intake filter for instance.  The intake filter can be ported out to allow you to spray at the tip of the intake pipe.  Some air filters are even sold pre ported so it makes it easier to install.

Next we will talk about porting out the intake manifold.  Starting with the plennum. By porting out the plennum you can get a more concentrated nitrous flow directly into the combustion chamber. This thought in theory will work.  The only thing that might work better than this is by directly porting each runner on the intake manifold with smaller shots of nitrous.

For each runner on the intake manifold if you were to use a smaller shot nozzle on each runner you would get better results.  Using simple smaller nozzles on the intake manifold, 25hp jets that would shoot even amounts of nitrous into each chamber.  This would create a better power band.  And a more equal per cylinder horsepower increase.

Some times what happens is that you can’t get all 4 cylinders to shoot even amounts of nitrous into all cylinder equally.  The only way to get around that is to port out nozzle holes on the mainfold so that they all get the same amount of nitrous into each cylinder.
