The Chevrolet Corvette/Z06 (5.7L LS1 LS6) 97-04 F1 Racing Stage 3 clutch kit utilizes a performance pressure plate paired with a 6-puck ceramic sprung-hub disc. This is an excellent solution for high horsepower vehicles looking for a quick clutch engagement. The spring hub serves as a torsional damper that absorbs the shock of a harsh engagement in order to protect the transmission. The ceramic material is lightweight and has, on average, a coefficient of friction 28% higher than that of organic discs. Our Stage 3 kits offer a 250% increase in torque capacity over stock systems. We recommend a 500-mile break-in period.
